Top Ramon

With the current financial industry in a declining state due to the condition of the current system. One can only think of what if we slip into another great depression. Talk about scary, then I thought about what might help prevent people from suffering another recession?

After playing basketball for 2 hours straight, no food in my belly. I was famished. So when I got home the first thing I did was go into the kitchen to see what I can prepare to cure my hunger pains. Nothing seem to look good or easy enough to make because my energy or patients was running low. I quickly remembered that my sister had purchased a full box of Top Ramon noddles, which are easy to make and taste relatively good if prepared the right way. So I put a pot of water on to boil while I went for the pantry in search of the noddles. As I reach for them I  could not help but to think of my formal educational training of economics and the theory of inferior goods. The whole notion behind inferior goods is these are the goods you wouldn't normally buy in good economic times but only in recessionary periods (i.e. your low on funds). This made me think of the progression of the financially struggling people.

Top Ramon was definitely a inferior good. This product of choice made me think of strategies that can ease the process of getting from point A to point B. I thought, if in a booming economic period people kept some of the recession mindset or habits like buying inferior goods to save money and when the next recession hits, which it will come there will be more opportunity to take advantage of. When everyone how spent their money because they thought the good times will last are forces to take loans and climb back into more debt. The people with the discipline to reverse the economic roles will be able to use their leverage to make things happen. After I finished my thought, which was about the same time I finished my meal, I was inspired to write about this topic. More so, I was inspired to teach people. Like in words of Shawn Carter "We all fish, better teach your folk, give 'em money to eat and next week he's broke..."
